Honeoye
An American cultivar introduced to cultivation in 1979.
A typical cultivar for fresh use, very early, ripens 7-10 days before Senga Sengana. Especially good for forcing under covers.
Berries fairly big or big. Skin intensely red and glossy. Flesh average-firm, juicy, mildly acid and flavorful.
Berries little susceptible to botrytis. Plants are rather subject to verticillium wilt. A cultivar moderately hardy, blossoms open early and frost can impair fruit set.
